A pedestrian was struck and killed on Southern Boulevard early Tuesday morning, and deputies are investigating the scene.
The crash happened on Kirk Road right off Southern Boulevard, according to Teri Barbera, a Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson.
Deputies are yet to release details on the vehicle or its driver.
The victim’s body was removed at about 9:20 a.m. after the incident hours earlier.
As deputies investigate the scene, they’ve closed off the westbound section of Southern Boulevard between Australian Avenue and Military Trail. Traffic is delayed in the eastbound lanes of Southern Boulevard.
Drivers can expect traffic delays in the area, according to PBSO.
