More than 30 firetrucks were on the scene after a CubeSmart storage center caught fire Tuesday night.
The Hillsborough County Fire Rescue was dispatched to the fire along with Temple Terrace Fire Rescue at 9:27 p.m. on 12225 North 56th Street.
Once crews arrived at the scene, they reported heavy smoke coming from several storage units, HCFR said.
Crews worked to gain access to several storage units and locate the fire.
The fire was declared under control at 6:30 on Wednesday morning.
Crews worked over nine hours of “battling the deep-seated blaze,” HCFR said.
According to HCFR, at the three-hour mark, one person was transported to the hospital with burn injuries. They are considered stable.
Crews are still at the scene working to make sure hotpots are out and the cause of the fire.
