ESCAMBIA COUNTY, Fla. — A 42-year-old Pensacola man was arrested for attempted homicide and possession of a weapon after allegedly stabbing a man in the throat at a car wash on Mobile Highway on Saturday, according to deputies.
Deputies say East and South units responded to JR Car Wash at 3700 Mobile Highway for a reported cutting victim.
When officers arrived, they found a victim with a stab wound to the throat, according to the Escambia County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they established a perimeter and quickly located Alonzo close by.
EMS transported the victim to Baptist Hospital, where he was immediately taken into surgery, according to deputies.
Deputies say the victim is expected to survive.
Wright is being held in Escambia County Jail with no bond.
