UPDATE – MONDAY 10:30 P.M.

PENSACOLA, Fla. — Florida Highway Patrol says a 39-year-old Elberta man who drove his pickup truck through Blossman Gas in West Pensacola was seriously injured.

Two pedestrians were injured as well. A 61-year-old Pensacola woman has “critical injuries” and a 59-year-old Cantonment woman has “serious injuries,” according to FHP.

Troopers say the 39-year-old became distracted while on his phone before crashing through the building.

His truck went over a curb, causing a blowout to the right front wheel. He then lost control of the truck as he traveled across the curb stops and out of the parking lot of a dentist office going across Montgomery Avenue.

The driver traveled across the open area next to Blossman Gas, eventually crashing through the building a third of the way.
