Driver accused of DUI crash with Port St. Lucie detective, other driver

A DUI driver crashed into a Port St. Lucie detective and another vehicle late Thursday, per police.

According to the Port St. Lucie Police Department (PSLPD), KF attempted to make a right turn on Port St. Lucie Blvd. when she lost control of her vehicle.

Officers say F struck a detective in an unmarked vehicle, pushing the detective into a civilian’s car.

All three vehicles were totaled as a result of the incident, and F was found to be under the influence at the time of the collision.

“These pictures prove that DUI impact us all,” said PSLPD in a post to its Facebook page. “It’s simple, don’t drink and drive.”

Although the aftermath showed twisted metal and deployed airbags, only minor injuries were reported, per PSLPD.
