A driver is hurt after their car got stuck underneath a school bus in New Smyrna Beach, police say.

The New Smyrna Beach Police Department says the crash happened on SR-44 near Hughes Road around 6:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say the driver of the vehicle that got stuck underneath the school bus had to be extricated and flown to the hospital for treatment.

One child was on the school bus at the time of the crash but was not injured.
