Driver strikes motorcyclist, PBSO patrol car in deadly Lake Worth crash, PBSO reports.

A Dodge Charger, motorcycle and deputy patrol car collided in a deadly crash that claimed the life of a motorcyclist late Thursday night in Lake Worth.

At about 11:30 p.m., a Dodge Charger was turning left onto 4th Avenue North from Dixie Highway when the driver cut in front of a 27-year-old motorcyclist, ejecting him from his Kawasaki motorcycle, according to the Palm Beach County Fire Rescue. The motorcyclist hit the pavement and was later pronounced dead on the scene.

The Charger briefly kept driving before striking the front of an oncoming Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office patrol car, stated the PBSO traffic report.

The driver was reportedly intoxicated, but the blood results are pending, according to the report.

Also riding in the Charger was a passenger who reported minor injuries, while the driver of the patrol car was not hurt, the report stated.
