Dunnellon Man Killed, Woman Seriously Injured in I-275 Motorcycle crash

A 62-year-old Dunnellon man was killed, and a 61-year-old woman was hospitalized with serious injuries following a single-vehicle motorcycle crash on Interstate 275.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the man was operating a Harley-Davidson motorcycle southbound on I-275.

Near milepost 53, Bearss Avenue, the driver lost control of the motorcycle, causing it to leave the roadway and overturn.

The driver suffered fatal injuries at the scene. His passenger, a 61-year-old woman, sustained serious injuries and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

The crash remains under investigation.
