Fatal car accident in Washington County

A 66-year-old woman died in a car crash Tuesday afternoon in Washington County. The accident happened near the intersection of S.R. 273, south of Pleas Circle.

According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the car left the road before hitting a mailbox and guardrail and going into a dry creek bed. She was pronounced dead at the scene after emergency services arrived.
