Fatal crash after car hits Jackson County overpass

A driver is dead after troopers say they crashed and caught fire in Jackson County.

On Monday afternoon, a sedan was driving eastbound on Interstate 10 in the inside left lane.

Florida Highway Patrol says the driver went off the paved portion of the road and struck the County Road 195 overpass.

Upon colliding with it, the sedan reportedly became fully engulfed in flames.

Troopers say the vehicle came to rest underneath the overpass. The driver is unknown at this time, pending further investigation.
