FHP: 1 killed, 2 injured in Volusia County crash.

Florida Highway Patrol said a deadly Volusia County crash is being investigated.

Tuesday afternoon, three vehicles were involved in a crash near US 17-92 and Prevatt Road around 12:30 p.m.

Troopers said an SUV didn’t slow down for stopped traffic and swerved into another lane.

The SUV struck the front of a motorcycle. Another motorcycle also collided with the SUV’s trailer, FHP said.

Both drivers of the motorcycles were thrown from their vehicles.

One of them, a 73-year-old Ormond Beach man, died in the crash. The other motorcyclist had critical injuries.

According to FHP, the SUV’s driver had minor injuries.
