Investigation ongoing after Florida City police vehicle involved in crash.

Police in Miami-Dade County are investigating a crash that involved a Florida City police vehicle.

The two vehicles involved were a silver Honda sedan and a Florida City police supervisor’s SUV.

The crash occurred Tuesday at approximately 9:30 p.m. along the 1200 block of North Krome Avenue in Florida City.

Local 10 News’ Bridgette Matter spoke to the wife of the driver of the Honda, who said her husband, a family member and another friend went on a shopping trip to the nearby Walmart.

When they didn’t return home, the wife went out looking for them and came upon the accident scene, but she said she had still not heard from her husband and did not find him at the scene.

Authorities have not provided any information regarding whether the crash had anything to do with a police investigation or whether there were any injuries or arrests.
