FHP: 1 motorcyclist dead after three-vehicle crash

Florida Highway Patrol troopers are investigating a multi-vehicle crash that killed a motorcyclist from Dunnellon around 7:30 p.m. on Saturday night.

They say it happened on US-41, near SW 54th St., about three miles north of Rainbow Springs State Park.

Troopers say a driver in one SUV turned into the path of a 40-year-old biker, causing the crash.

A 91-year-old driver in another SUV then also hit the motorcyclist, who died at the scene.

FHP says no one else was hurt.

Troopers are still investigating this crash.
