Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed in a crash in Lake County overnight.
Troopers said the crash happened around 12:50 a.m. on Saturday on Plymouth Sorrento Road north of Adair Avenue. A 2017 Toyota Tacoma traveling southbound on Plymouth Sorrento Rd struck a pedestrian who was walking south in the roadway.
The pickup’s driver was uninjured and remained on the scene.
The 54-year-old Sorrento man was transported to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
