No injuries were reported after a vehicle smashed into a power transformer in St. Cloud before it erupted in flames on Saturday, according to a news release.

Fire Officials said they responded to the blaze that quickly spread to a nearby building, before they were able to extinguish it.

According to the release, an exact location of the crash was not given, but OUC had to cut power for crews to fight the fire. That caused the traffic signal at U.S. 192 and Old Hickory Tree Road to turn off.

Officials said around 4 p.m. that they did not know how long the power will be in the area and advised motorists to drive with caution in the area.

No other information was released.
