A fire happened in Bokeelia in a mobile home and spread to two others early Tuesday morning.
The fire happened on Fourth Street around 6:04 a.m. The Matlacha-Pine Island Fire Control District responded to the scene.
According to the fire chief, three mobile homes were affected by the fire. Two of them are a total loss and the other one has damage to its side.
The fire district said the fire broke out in one home and spread to the others. The man inside the home the fire broke out in was sent to the hospital and may have injuries, and they are looking for his dog, the fire district said.
According to the fire district, there were a lot of items outside of the mobile home that could have made the fire worse.
The cause of the fire is still unknown, the fire district said.
The state fire marshal is investigating.
