Firefighters battled a mobile home fire in Marion County on Monday morning that threatened nearby homes and trees.

Marion County Fire Rescue crews say a single-wide mobile home on Southeast 99th Terrace in Belleview caught on fire around 11 a.m. this morning.

Crews from multiple area fire stations joined to help contain the fire, preventing it from damaging the surrounding buildings.

No residents or firefighters were hurt; however, a dog died in the blaze. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
