Fire tears through Stuart medical supply building, crews battle overnight blaze

Multiple fire crews worked overnight to extinguish a massive fire at Pinnacle Health Radiology Services in Stuart.

Firefighters with Martin County Fire Rescue say they were dispatched to the 2800 block of SE Monroe Street just before midnight on Saturday after reports of flames and heavy smoke coming from the building.

Upon arrival, firefighters say they found the fire quickly spreading through the main bay area of the structure. Crews say they quickly initiated suppression efforts and were able to bring the flames under control.

Officials say the fire was knocked down before it could spread further.

The State Fire Marshal’s Office was notified and will assist in determining the cause of the blaze.

Nobody was inside the building at the time of the fire, and while no civilian injuries were reported, one MCFR firefighter sustained minor injuries at the scene but refused transport.
