Firefighter taken to hospital after Pink Pony catches fire: Tampa Fire Rescue

All lanes of Lois Avenue are closed from West Hillsborough Avenue to West Crest Avenue due to a business on fire.

Tampa Fire Rescue responded to a fire at the Pink Pony Showgirls on the 5200 block of North Lois Avenue around 4:55 a.m.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames coming through the roof.

Due to the size of the building, a second crew was called to assist in the fire, TFR said.

The fire was under control within 30 minutes.

One firefighter was transported to a local hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by Tampa Fire Marshal Office investigators.
