A Florida man was killed in a two-vehicle crash Monday morning in Sumter County, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The fatal wreck happened around 7:45 a.m. on County Road 476 at SW 52nd Street near Bushnell.
The FHP said a 32-year-old Inverness man was driving a Chevrolet SUV east on C. R. 476 and traveled into the westbound lane for an unknown reason. The SUV struck a westbound Nissan pickup truck driven by a 37-year-old Groveland man, troopers said.
The Inverness man died at the scene, the FHP said.
The Groveland man was taken to a hospital with serious injuries, according to an FHP crash report.
