Florida renter brutally attacked landlord, rammed SUV into home, deputies say

A Florida renter was charged with attempted murder after deputies said he brutally attacked his landlord and rammed an SUV into the home.

The Martin County Sheriff’s Office said 69-year-old BTL invited his landlord, who lives above him, to come downstairs for dinner on Tuesday night.

When she did, investigators said, “L brutally attacked and beat her, leaving her with severe injuries.”

Shortly after, L got into his SUV and “intentionally rammed it into the structure, causing significant damage,” the sheriff’s office said in a Facebook post.

Deputies were called to the home on Northeast Ocean View Circle in Jensen Beach and detained L, who had slashed his own arms with a knife.

L was taken to a hospital and placed in law enforcement custody. The sheriff’s office said L will be booked into the Martin County Jail upon release.

The landlord was also taken to a hospital and is being treated for her injuries.

Deputies said the case is being investigated as attempted murder.
