On Tuesday afternoon, a tractor-trailer traveling south on US 231 near Highway 20 crashed on its side.

One lane of traffic is blocked, according to Florida Highway Patrol officials. It is unclear if anyone was injured in the crash.

This is a developing story and we will have more information as it becomes available.

The southbound lanes of Highway 231, near Highway 20, were shut down for several hours today.

A tractor-trailer flipped over around 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, spilling a load of gravel on the highway.

State troopers say the driver was heading west on Highway 20 and tried to turn southbound onto 231.

They say he suffered only minor injuries.

Crews moved the truck and had the roadway reopened in about 2-hours.
