Lake Butler woman dies in head-on collision with semi.

A 21-year-old Lake Butler woman was killed Wednesday morning when the car she was riding in crossed the center line on State Road 121 north of Raiford and hit a tractor-trailer head-on.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) report, an 18-year-old Glen St. Mary man was driving a sedan north on SR 121 north of State Road 16 at 5:17 a.m. when he crossed the centerline in a curve and collided head-on with a tractor-trailer.

Emergency responders pronounced the Lake Butler woman, who was a passenger in the sedan, dead on scene.

The Glen St. Mary man is in critical condition and the 49-year-old Ocala man driving the tractor-trailer suffered minor injuries. Both were transported to UF Health Shands in Gainesville.
