Lightning was blamed for a fire on a pontoon boat Thursday evening in Englewood, fire officials said.
The boat was parked in a storage lot off Englewood Road as strong storms rolled through the area.
The Englewood Area Fire Control District said it responded to several calls related to lightning strikes Thursday.
In this case, crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire and keep it from spreading to neighboring boats.
