Man arrested after family says he stabbed ex in front of daughter in NW Miami-Dade

A man wanted for allegedly stabbing his ex-girlfriend in Northwest Miami-Dade last week was booked into jail on Friday on various domestic violence charges, jail records show.

MSP, 54, was charged with attempted murder causing injury, burglary with assault or battery, and assault with a deadly weapon.

According to the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office, the attack happened around 8:45 a.m. on July 24 near 172nd Street and 94th Court in northwest Miami-Dade.

After the stabbing, emergency crews rushed to the scene, where cellphone video shows a trail of blood, clothes, and pillows scattered on a stairway. Video also captured the woman, bloodied, being loaded onto a stretcher and taken to the hospital.

NBC6 learned that the victim, a 48-year-old woman, was stabbed multiple times in front of her daughter. A relative said the suspect is her ex-boyfriend, and their relationship ended about 10 months ago. The attack left her with life-threatening injuries to her lung, liver, kidney, and heart.

The woman was transported to Jackson Memorial Hospital North, where she remains in critical condition.

P was taken to Turner Guildford Knight Correctional Center.
