Man crashes stolen BMW, claims he ‘teleported’ into it: Florida deputies

A man was arrested after Florida deputies said he crashed a BMW he stole and claimed that he “teleported” into it.

The Volusia County Sheriff’s Office said a man left his BMW unlocked in Bicentennial Park with the keys in a closed cup holder on Monday.

While the man was walking his dog, his car was stolen.

A few minutes later, Volusia deputies said the BMW crashed at Old Dixie Highway and Plantation Oaks Boulevard.

Witnesses got the driver out of the crashed BMW. They told deputies the driver, who was later identified as 36-year-old CJ, was traveling over 100 mph when he crashed.

J told deputies that he didn’t steal the car; he “teleported” into it.

The sheriff’s office said J was sent to a hospital for treatment. He will be taken to the Volusia County Jail on charges of grand theft of a motor vehicle and driving with a suspended license.
