VIDEO: St. Augustine man arrested after double shooting, Florida deputies say

St. Johns County deputies arrested a Florida man after a double shooting on Dec. 4, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office said.

The SJSO Communication Division said it received reports of the double shooting at a home on Lena Street at 6:45 a.m.

Deputies responded to the report, discovering two women with gunshot wounds. Both were treated and immediately flown to a medical center as trauma patients, SJSO said.

According to footage of the arrest, the SJSO Air Unit located the man, MTH, 37, in the backyard of a residence, directing ground units to take him into custody.

H was arrested by detectives and charged with two counts of attempted murder, the sheriff’s office said.

A firearms detection K9 located a firearm in the area that the sheriff’s office said is believed to be the weapon involved in the incident.

SJSO said the victims are “expected to survive.”
