Alachua County Fire Rescue crews provided emergency medical care after a man was run over around 11 a.m. on Thursday. He later died at the hospital.
Officials tell TV20 that an employee was run over at Blue Compass RV, an RV dealership on Northwest Highway 441 near the Turkey Creek neighborhood.
The man suffered severe injuries and was taken to the hospital as a trauma alert where he died.
The Alachua Police Department officers say the employee was riding alongside a large outdoor forklift, jumped off, and was subsequently run over. The incident occurred outside the facility.
The department will not release the identity of the man at this time, pending notification of next of kin.
