Man hit by semi, killed on SR 200 outside Nassau County subdivision: Florida Highway Patrol

A 31-year-old Yulee man died early Friday morning after he was hit by a semi on State Road 200 just outside the Tributary subdivision, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

Troopers said the man was standing in the outside westbound lane of SR 200 around 12:45 a.m. near Tributary Drive, which is the entrance road of the subdivision.

The semi, which was headed west on SR 200, hit the man, knocking him onto the grass shoulder, the report said.

The man died at the scene.

The 61-year-old semi driver from Jacksonville was not hurt. He was wearing a seat belt, according to the report.
