Woman, child seriously injured in hit-and-run at Largo Walmart, police say

 A woman and child are in the hospital with serious injuries after a woman hit them in a Walmart Parking lot before leaving the scene, the Largo Police Department announced.

Officers responded to a hit-and-run crash on Thursday night at the Walmart on 2677 Roosevelt Boulevard.

Investigators determined the suspect, LH, 32, hit an adult woman and child before crashing into other vehicles in the parking lot and leaving the scene.

The woman sustained serious injuries, and the child suffered critical, life-threatening injuries. Both were taken to a nearby hospital, LPD said.

H was located and arrested. She has been charged with leaving the scene with property damage, two counts of leaving the scene with serious bodily injury, and one count of reckless driving with serious injury.

The investigation is ongoing.
