A 40-year-old man from Hawthorne was killed and an 18-year-old from Interlachen is in critical condition after a crash early Saturday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers said the wreck happened at 12:20 a.m. on County Road 2082, just west of Hawthorne.
Troopers said the 18-year-old driver swerved over the lines on County Road 2082, hitting the 40-year-old’s car.
The 40-year-old man was killed. The 18-year-old was taken to the hospital with critical injuries.
