A Marianna woman died in a single-vehicle car crash on Lakepoint Rd. Thursday night.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, around 11 p.m., three women from Marianna were traveling north on Lakepoint Road, approaching the Highway 231 intersection, when the 31-year-old driver attempted to take a sharp turn.
As a result, the vehicle went off the road and struck a tree before it overturned multiple times.
The driver and one of the passengers, a 46-year-old woman, had minor injuries. The other passenger, a 56-year-old woman, died due to injuries sustained in the crash.
