A 27-year-old Jacksonville man was killed Sunday afternoon when his motorcycle collided with a sedan at the intersection of St. Johns Bluff Road and the Interstate 295 entrance ramp, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
The crash occurred at about 4:13 p.m. as both vehicles were traveling north on St. Johns Bluff Road, FHP said. The sedan was turning left to enter the I-295 northbound entrance ramp when the motorcycle struck the right rear passenger door of the sedan.
Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said the motorcyclist died at the scene. The sedan’s driver, a 72-year-old Jacksonville man, was not injured.
