A pedestrian in a wheelchair was injured in a collision with a car in Palm Beach County on Monday morning.
According to Palm Beach County Fire Rescue, the incident occurred around 8:20 a.m. at the intersection of Southbound Military Trail and Melaleuca Lane.
First responders arrived at the scene to find the individual already out of the roadway and seated in their wheelchair.
Due to the nature of the injuries, Fire Rescue said that they were transported to a local trauma center as a trauma alert.
The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office will be handling the investigation into the incident.
