A multi-vehicle crash has shut down US-1 southbound at SE Central Parkway on Tuesday afternoon.
The Stuart Police Department (SPD) said officers and fire rescue crews are actively working the scene, but motorists should avoid the area and expect delays as responders manage the situation.
Police have not yet provided details regarding injuries. But a photo taken at the scene shows three vehicles with substantial damage.
Police said the roadway will remain closed until further notice, with an update expected once it reopens.
Drivers are urged to seek alternative routes and use caution in surrounding areas.
