Nebraska man caught with child sexual abuse material at Miami airport, police say

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla. – A “routine border search” at Miami International Airport turned up two photos and two videos of child sexual abuse material on a 53-year-old man’s phone, according to police.

Miami-Dade police took Alonzo Franco-Rauda, of Omaha, Nebraska, into custody early Tuesday morning.

At around 8 p.m. Monday, police said a Customs and Border Protection officer found the child sexual abuse material on Franco-Rauda’s phone.

The photos and videos showed girls between the ages of 9 and 12 being raped or otherwise sexually abused, police said.

An arrest report states that Franco-Rauda denied having child sexual abuse material.

The Salvadoran national faces four felony charges related to the possession of child sexual abuse material and was being held in the Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center on a $10,000 bond as of Tuesday, according to jail records.
