A 40-year-old male bicyclist from Niceville is dead after a crash in Escambia County on Tuesday night.
Troopers say the incident occurred at 9:45 p.m. on Bauer Road when a 60-year-old woman driving a Ford Pickup was traveling north and collided with the bicyclist, who was also heading north in the travel lane.
The impact of the collision caused both the truck and the bicycle to come to rest on the shoulder of the road, according to FHP.
The bicyclist was transported to a local hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
