Crestview Police Department arrest a school bus driver for driving under the influence.
Mechelle Prevoznik, 62, backed an Okaloosa County School District School bus into a car stopped behind her on Friday, June 19. The accident happened near the intersection of 8th Avenue and Ferdon Boulevard, the Crestview Police Department said.
Police confirmed none of the six children inside the bus at the time of the accident were hurt.
Police conducted a breath test on Prevoznik after smelling alcohol. Prevoznik‘s Blood Alcohol Content was 0.048, according to police.
Police said they then arrested Prevoznik and brought her to the Okaloosa County Jail. She is charged with Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol and six counts of Child Neglect without Bodily Harm.
