8:06PM UPDATE: A driver was killed after veering off Interstate 10, crossing the median and colliding with an eastbound vehicle, according to Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers said a man driving westbound on I-10 veered off the roadway and crossed through the median into the eastbound lanes.
The vehicle was then struck by an eastbound vehicle, troopers said.
Both vehicles left the roadway and crashed into a tree.
The driver who crossed the median was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle sustained serious injuries.
The crash remains under investigation by Florida Highway Patrol.
