Sarasota County Sheriff is currently assisting with a crash involving an overturned car on 17th at Country Meadows Boulevard near Honore Avenue.
Live FDOT camera footage shows what appears to be a knocked over palm tree, dragged across the roadway, possibly involved in the crash.
One lane of 17th Street eastbound is currently closed, with brief delays. Fruitville Road is an alternate.
