An 19-year-old woman was shot while riding in a car early Wednesday in Orange County, deputies said.
The shooting happened in the 5800 block of Elon Drive, south of Clarcona Ocoee Road in Pine Hills.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Office said deputies were called to a shooting and met with an 18-year-old man and a 19-year-old woman who said they were driving in the area when an unknown person shot at their vehicle, striking the woman.
The 19-year-old was taken to a hospital with a non-life-threatening gunshot wound, deputies said.
The man declined to press charges, but sheriff’s officials did not clarify any further.
