A crash involving a semi-truck shut down the I-4 exit onto Florida’s Turnpike in Orlando.
According to FL 511, the crash happened in the westbound lanes of I-4near the turnpike interchange. DOT CAM showed the overturned semi off to the side in the ramp’s bend, and emergency vehicles around the truck.
Orlando Fire Department says the driver of the vehicle was trapped inside the cab of the semi and had to be extricated. He was taken to the hospital to be checked out.
A hazardous materials team has been brought in to remove fuel from the vehicle.
The right lane of the ramp was blocked, in addition to the off-ramp being closed.
That area is now back open.
