UPDATE: Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported that State Highway 83 is back open.
A traffic crash has blocked State Highway 83 in DeFuniak Springs on Thursday morning.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the accident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m. near Gum Creek Church and County Highway 185.
The Walton County Sheriff’s Office reported that north and southbound traffic on State Highway 83 is being exchanged intermittently through the southbound lane.
WCSO and Walton County Fire Rescue are currently on scene and report the fog is extremely thick. FHP has also reported injuries.
