Passenger killed in single-vehicle crash on I-95 in Flagler County

Florida Highway Patrol is investigating after the passenger died in a single-vehicle car crash on I-95 in Flagler County Saturday night.

According to FHP, the crash happened on I-95 northbound in the area near mile marker 280 in Flagler County shortly after 11 p.m. Saturday. Troopers said a pickup truck traveling in the inside lane began changing into the center lane when the truck then slid sideways before crashing into a guardrail.

The truck then went airborne and rolled over before coming to a rest in the grassy median.

The truck’s driver, a 47-year-old man from Hastings, suffered severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital.

His passenger, a 46-year-old woman from Hastings, died from her injuries at the scene.
