Shortly before 9 p.m. on Saturday, Broward Sheriff’s Office deputies and paramedics from Broward Sheriff Fire Rescue responded to a crash involving a vehicle and a pedestrian in Deerfield Beach.
The crash happened near 79 North Federal Highway.
Authorities said the injured pedestrian was transported to a nearby hospital by emergency medical personnel.
On Sunday, deputies said the victim had since been pronounced dead.
Deputies said the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene and is cooperating with them.
BSO’s Traffic Homicide Unit is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
