Miami Police are investigating a crash that injured a person in a wheelchair in Little Haiti on Thursday afternoon.

The crash happened around 1:15 p.m. in the area of Northwest 2nd Avenue and Northwest 54th Street.

Police said the person in the wheelchair was taken to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center.

His identity and exact condition weren’t released.

Police said the driver stayed at the scene, and the circumstances surrounding what led up to the crash were under investigation.
