A small single-engine plane crashed in Bluff Springs on Wednesday night, according to NorthEscambia.com.

A witness says they saw the plane try to attempt an emergency landing and crash around 6:45 p.m. The plane flipped upside down.

The incident happened just north of Bluff Springs and Byrneville Roads. The pilot and passenger were able to walk away from the crash.

The Federal Aviation Administration was notified of the crash and is investigating.
