Report: Man stabbed cousin 7 times at Pensacola Beach during Air Show weekend

A 22-year-old man is charged with attempted homicide for stabbing his cousin seven times at Pensacola Beach, according to an arrest report.

Deputies arrested CW on Tuesday. He’s being held in Escambia County Jail without bond.

The incident happened the night of July 11 at the “Mommy Beach” area of Pensacola Beach.

According to the report, the victim was with his family under a pavilion facing the water when W walked up behind him and stabbed him several times before fleeing the scene. He suffered two wounds in the arm, one in the leg, one in the back and three in the side.

The report states witnesses said the stabbing was unprovoked.

The victim — who was hospitalized for his injuries — told deputies W is a cousin who “he does not really speak to.”

W’s parent alluded to him having mental health issues, according to the report.
