Semi-truck flips onto side after crash along US 27

A semi-truck flipped onto its side after a crash along US 27 in Hendry County on Friday morning.

According to the Hendry County Sheriff’s Office, around 6:30 a.m. the semi was blocking both northbound lanes of US 27.

The road is now back open.

The Department of Transportation was at the scene, setting up traffic cones and dividing up the lanes so that drivers could travel north and south.

Clewiston Towing was at the scene and turned the semi upright.
