Seven injured in multi-vehicle crash in Loxahatchee

LOXAHATCHEE, Fla. (CBS12) — A three-vehicle crash led to seven people being taken to the hospital on Sunday, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office.

The crash happened around 10:58 a.m. between Arden Lake Way and State Road 80.

PBSO says a 2020 Chevy, 2017 Rav4 Toyota and a 2022 Tesla were all involved in the crash.

According to the crash report, the Toyota and the Tesla were stopped at the intersection of State Road 80 and Arden Lake Way preparing to turn eastbound

The Tesla had four people, including the driver, in the vehicle, the crash report reads.

The Chevy was traveling westbound on State Road 80 approaching the intersection, which according to the crash report, the traffic signal was on red.

When the light turned green the Toyota and the Tesla began to turn, but the Chevy failed to stop at the red light.

The Chevy collided with the Tesla causing one of the passengers to be ejected from the vehicle and caught under the rear driver side of the tire.

The drivers of the Chevy and the Toyota and the passenger ejected from the Tesla were taken to St. Mary’s Medical Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The driver of the Tesla and three other passengers also had non-life threatening injuries, but were taken to Palm West Medical Center.
